Yakima River Flood Warning Issued
Posted by Matt McGee under West Richland News, where:99353

Benton County Emergency Services has issued a flood warning today for West Richland residents living along the Yakima River:
Water levels on the Yakima Rivers are on the rise as a result of heavy rains in the Cascades. The water in the Yakima could rise as much as five feet in the next 48 hours. Although water levels should remain below flood stage (13 feet), there could be some minor flooding in low-lying areas. Emergency officials remind residents of Benton City, West Richland, Prosser, and Richland living along the Yakima that they may see some minor localized flooding before water levels begin to recede.
Wow - five feet in the next 48 hours. Be careful, neighbors.
