Windy Night in West Richland

Use whatever cliché you want — “put rocks in your pockets” works for me — because this is one of the windiest nights we’ve had in West Richland in a while. I ran out front a little while and shot about 15 seconds od dark video. Main point isn’t what you see, it’s what you hear:

The NWS has issued a High Wind Warning until 6:00 am tomorrow:

A HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM PST WEDNESDAY.

HIGH WINDS ALOFT ARE MIXING TO THE SURFACE AT TIMES. SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS MAY SUDDENLY INCREASE TO 40 TO 50 MPH WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS TO 70 MPH. STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE ON EXPOSED RIDGES.

At the moment, Weather.com says winds are in the 30mph-40mph range. I have a feeling we’ll be reading about some serious damage around town in the next day or two.
