West Richland Road Risks Erosion

Van Geisen, one of the main roads into West Richland, is at risk of being washed away this morning. KNDU reported last night that crews are attempting to stop the erosion by placing heavy boulders along the road/river’s edge.

This early in the year with more moisture probable only compounds what could be a deepening situation for flooding in our area. Can only hope it doesn’t get worse.

They keep saying this season might rival ’96 in terms of flooding and damage. I hope not, too.
