The City of West Richland will soon begin installing a new waterline in the Keene & Kennedy roads area, and some traffic delays are to be expected. The new waterline will run from the Duportail/Keene intrersection in Richland to Kennedy and East Mountain Roads in West Richland. Kinda like this:

(It obviously won’t cut across the side streets like the straight arrow does, but you get the picture. The project will cut across both Keene and Kennedy.)

The project should start later this month or in early March, and will replace the existing inter-tie with Richland.

Traffic

At various times, Keene Rd. will be closed east of Kennedy. Ditto for Kennedy Rd. south of Keene. The city says most of the work will happen to the side of the streets, so any delays should be minimal. Look for readerboards and signs pointing the way to the detours that will be in place.
