Free Movies at Flat Top Park in West Richland
Posted by Matt McGee under West Richland Events
The city of West Richland has announced the four movies that will be shown at Flat Top Park this month and next:
August 8: Ratatouille — Do I need to mention that this is one of my all-time favorite movies? I (heart) Pixar and this is one of their best. That’s Remy, the main character, pictured at right.
August 15: Big — Another movie I love. When Cari and I were in New York this past spring, we went to the ginormous FAO Schwarz store where some of this movie was filmed — they still have the huge, step-on keyboard and you can take your shoes off and try to recreate the movie scene yourself!
August 22: The Shakiest Gun in the West — Sorry, I have no pithy comments on this one, but I think I saw it in grade school.
September 5: The Goonies — Never saw this one.
These movies are free and are showing at dusk, after the evening’s “Concert in the Pavilion.” Bring a blanket and/or some chairs and enjoy the West Richland summer. And if you like music, too, we already posted the Concerts at the Pavilion schedule, too.

Ratatouille was great - I really enjoyed that one when we watched it! And Goonies, what a classic. How can you have never watched it? (I’m not saying it’s a great movie, just one that should be watched for principle sake)
We have free movie nights at different parks and places here, but usually they are just awful movies that you’ve already seen 200 times. Sounds like they have a nice program!
