FEMA opening West Richland flood claims center

FEMA — the Federal Emergency Management Agency — will open a temporary flood claims center in West Richland later this week to help people with problems related to last month’s Yakima River floods.

If you already submitted information to local officials, you still need to make a formal request for assistance with FEMA. You can do that at the claims center this week, or or by calling 800-621-3362 or visiting www.disasterassistance.gov online.

The West Richland FEMA claims center will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Benton County Fire District 4 station at 2604 Bombing Range Road.
