Bird Hill Road Work Begins

And they’re off! Just as promised, the repaving of Blue Heron Blvd. began bright and early this morning. It’s kinda strange to see so many cars pulled around and parked on the side streets, and BHB itself totally empty … except for when all the heavy equipment comes by, as you see below.

What is West Richland’s Population?

Do you have any guesses what our current population is here in West Richland? The official numbers won’t come out, of course, until after the 2010 census is taken, but the Washington Office of Financial Management published it’s official estimates earlier this year. And the results?

How to Beat the West Richland Heat

When the temps go above 100 degrees, like they’ve done the past couple days, it’s easy to beat the heat if you’re a dog who loves sprinklers. Like our dog, Sparky:

As for the rest of us, I’d suggest taking it easy, drinking lots of liquids, and staying inside with the air conditioning on.
